  • Avoid disruptive behavior and ensure your actions contribute positively to the community.

Language and Behavior

Role-Playing Standards

  • Adhere to Metro RP's role-playing guidelines at all times.
  • Stay in character while in-game, ensuring all actions and communications are appropriate for your character.
  • Avoid meta-gaming (using out-of-character knowledge in-character) and power-gaming (forcing actions on others or creating unrealistic scenarios).
  • Engage in realistic and immersive role-play that aligns with your character's background and the server's environment.

Account and Character Rules

  • Each player is allowed one account and a limited number of characters (as defined by the server).
  • Do not create characters that impersonate others or steal their identity.
  • Role-play your character consistently and realistically, avoiding drastic or unrealistic changes in behavior or abilities.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to bypass bans or to exploit the server's mechanics.
  • Only 1 Character can be used as part of a gang. You cannot have multiple Gang affiliated Characters.

Shootouts Explained

ROLEPLAY OVER GUNPLAY!

It is always encouraged to choose roleplay (such as verbally disputing, putting up a long chase, finding creative ways to escape) other than immediately resorting to shootouts. Shoot-outs are welcome in Metro, but can be seen as low-quality RP unless used as a last resort. If you have exhausted all of your options such as car chase, car swap, foot chase - then shootouts are understandable. Shooting off of a store is considered LQRP.

Example of Valid Gunplay:

If your group robs a Vangelico and have been fleeing for 15-20 minutes, swapped a car, and executed all other options, it would be understandably warranted to resort to a shootout.

Example #2:

Your crew is allowed to intervene while running from the police only once you've used all your other escape options. It is heavily encouraged to first have the crew attempt to aid your escape. IF THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS (road blocks, helicopters, swimming, etc.) Then gunplay is warranted.

Robbing cops

We understand as a criminal in Metro things get hectic and some may find themselves in shootouts with the police. You may rob cops after shootouts just don't use tunnels/buildings solely to loot cops this is LQRP. DO NOT TAKE PHONE OR RADIO. DONT BE CRINGE.

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

  • Do not attack or kill other players without a valid in-character reason.
  • All violent actions must be justified within the role-play context and properly role-played.
  • Ensure that any conflict is resolved through role-play and avoid unnecessary violence.

Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

  • Using vehicles as weapons is prohibited unless it makes sense within the role-play scenario.
  • Accidental collisions should be role-played realistically, with appropriate consequences and interactions.
  • Driving in an unrealistic manner without a role-play reason (e.g., reckless driving for no reason) is not allowed.

New Life Rule (NLR)

  • If your character dies, you must forget the events leading up to your death.
  • Do not return to the scene of your death or interact with involved parties for a set period (e.g., 30 minutes).
  • Avoid using out-of-character knowledge gained before your character's death.
  • Treat each new life as a separate experience, without carrying over knowledge or grudges.

Combat Logging

  • Do not log out or disconnect during a role-play scenario to avoid consequences.
  • If you experience technical issues, report them to staff immediately and attempt to rejoin the game as soon as possible.
  • Repeated instances of combat logging will result in disciplinary action.

No Cop-Baiting

Guidelines

  • Intentionally provoking law enforcement without a valid in-character reason is prohibited.
  • Respect the role-play of law enforcement officers and avoid unnecessary confrontations.
  • Engage in realistic interactions with law enforcement, ensuring that any criminal activity is appropriately role-played.
  • Do not disrupt police role-play for the sole purpose of creating chaos.

Realistic Role-Play

  • Act in a manner that is realistic for your character's background and environment.
  • Avoid unrealistic actions, such as driving at high speeds through the city without reason or engaging in superhero-like behavior.
  • Ensure that your character's actions align with their role and the server's setting.
  • Role-play injuries and consequences realistically, considering the physical and emotional impact on your character.

NVL Rule

You must value your life as if it was your actual life at hand!

  • Show fear and value when threatened by weapons in roleplay. If you are found without a weapon already in hand, you must engage and obey as if your life was truly in danger.
  • YOU MUST MATCH FORCE, meaning if you have a melee weapon like a knife or bat in your hand, and are threatened with a gun, you cannot defend yourself as the gun is more powerful.
  • If given commands while your life is threatened you must comply in order to value your life.

Bank Trucks

  • Bank trucks are a shoot-on-sight heist. Criminals are not allowed to leave (fully abandon) the bank truck unless the pd lets them know in game they cannot respond or the crims have fought the pd.
  • You may not bring a hostage to a bank truck.
  • If the bank truck is fought within vehicles and or around the banktruck rather than a rooftop holdout players must not completely abandon the area of the bank truck.
  • EX: If the BT is popped in southside try not to fully leave southside, IF the BT is popped in sandy try not to leave sandy etc. If pd is chased out of the BT area it is acceptable to continue chasing them down.

Heists

  • All robberies Vangy and Higher must have a hostage.
  • Store robbery you may use the clerk as your hostage.
  • (Unless otherwise announced by a staff member)

  • Repeated warnings can lead to further disciplinary action, including temporary or permanent bans.
  • Warnings serve as an opportunity to correct behavior and adhere to server rules.

Temporary Bans

  • Serious or repeated rule violations can result in temporary bans.
  • Temporary bans are issued for a set period, depending on the severity of the offense.
  • During a temporary ban, players are prohibited from accessing the server and must reflect on their actions.
  • Temporary bans are meant to serve as a deterrent and a chance for rehabilitation.

Permanent Bans

  • Major rule violations or continued misconduct can result in a permanent ban.
  • Permanent bans are final and non-negotiable, removing the player from the server indefinitely.
  • Players who receive a permanent ban may appeal again in thirty days.
  • Permanent bans are reserved for the most serious offenses or for those who repeatedly disrupt the server's environment.

Appeals

  • Players may appeal bans or disciplinary actions using Metro RP's appeal process.
  • Provide clear, respectful arguments in your appeal, and include any relevant evidence or context.
  • Understand that appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and decisions are made at the discretion of the staff.

Gang Rules

Gang & Criminal Rules

Specific guidelines for gangs and criminal activities on MetroRP.

Welcome to MetroRP! Our goal is to create a realistic, immersive, and enjoyable role-playing experience for everyone. To achieve this, we ask that all players adhere to the following rules and guidelines. These rules are designed to ensure fair play, respect, and high-quality role-playing within our community.

Non Whitelisted Gangs

If your gang is not a white-listed gang you'll be considered a "Yellow Lit" Gang until your application has been accepted which may take anywhere from 14-60 days depending on roleplay given and behavior.

THIS MEANS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Still allowed to wear colors and claim any block you wish
  • Still allowed to do any drugs, robberies, and or deals
  • Still allowed to beef with other gangs

While beefing we must follow the "One Get Back Rule"

EX: If the Ballers slide GSF for shooting the Ballers leader the Ballers must wait for GSF to retaliate and do something back. If these beefs happen as a non-whitelisted gangs try to make them last under a week as your gang should be focusing on Jobs, Drugs, & making connections and providing good roleplay to Metro.

No Setting Terms

If you'd like to fill out an application to be a whitelisted gang check #server-info or

Apply for Whitelist

Whitelisted Gangs

  • Full Colors/Block
  • Any Drugs, Robberies, or Deals are allowed
  • No longer have to follow the "One Get Back Rule"
  • Can set terms
  • New members have 24 hours of in-game playtime in order to partake in gang fights
  • Gang limit is 25
  • When leaving a gang you must wait a full 7 days before you can join another gang

Overall Criminal Rules

5-Man Rule

The limit for any criminal activity is five criminals, with the exception of gang beef or gang wars after being agreed on in a ticket. Please note that the term criminal activities is not just robberies and shootouts. Here at MetroRP we're limiting it to five to ensure that all criminal scenes are balanced and fair. This also includes providing information, using coms on the radio, or being a spy/lookout. Gangs are not allowed to take a chase or scene to their block to have more help/shooters breaking the 5-Man rule.

Vehicle Limits

  • In any fight or slide please use no more than 3 active cars. If your car becomes disabled u can still steal another car or repair yours with a repair kit.
  • (For crims vs pd u can use 5 cars)
  • No bulletproof or bullet resistant cars allowed in any shootouts
  • You may use 1 bike/atv per slide or fight against pd in place of a car.
  • EX: 2 cars 1 bike for crim v crim, 4 cars 1 bike crim v cop
  • Please do not repair your car mid chase unless all cops and everyone on the scene agree.

Prison Breaks

Prison Breaks are treated as a separate scene from the original scene. When getting ready for a prison break you can assemble a new five.

Tunnels and Buildings

Going into the tunnels and doing shootouts or other buildings with the main goal of loot boxing cops is LQRP and will be handled accordingly. (this doesn't mean you can't shoot as a last-ditch effort to get away from certain robberies let's just have a little class when we do this)

Cooldowns

  • ANY SHOOTING IS A 30 MINUTE COOLDOWN UPON ENDING
  • If the server crashes, or restarts you must wait 30 minutes before engaging in any criminal activities. House Robbing, Selling drugs, Robbing other players, and shooting weapons, are strictly prohibited within the 30 minutes before and after a server restart.
  • All robberies are strictly prohibited within 45 minutes before restart and 30 minutes after restart.

Third Partying

No Third Partying Robberies/Heist unless there is a standing conflict between both groups and no cops are present on scene.

Hostages

Fake Hostages are not allowed and will be listed as LQRP.

Robbing Players

  • Robbing other players is allowed, but must be done with good roleplay interactions.
  • Scamming within our community is not allowed
  • Using server functions or mechanics to gain an unfair advantage in a scam is strictly prohibited. It is not permissible to exploit or rely on any server functions that are not working properly in order to execute a scam.
  • You may not rob someone for their bank contents or anything in their bank account at all under any circumstance (that means forcibly billing someone as well) This is low quality roleplay and just generally shitty.

Bank Trucks

  • Bank trucks are a shoot-on-sight heist. Criminals are not allowed to leave (fully abandon) the bank truck unless the pd lets them know in game they cannot respond or the crims have fought the pd.
  • You may not bring a hostage to a bank truck
  • If the bank truck is fought within vehicles and or around the banktruck rather than a rooftop holdout players must not completely abandon the area of the bank truck
  • EX: If the BT is popped in southside try not to fully leave southside, IF the BT is popped in sandy try not to leave sandy etc. If pd is chased out of the BT area it is acceptable to continue chasing them down.

Strike Systems & Join/Leave Cooldown

  • Whitelisted Gangs will have the "Three Strike Rule" to follow and if they get three strikes their gang will be disbanded.
  • Gang strikes will be given out when multiple members in the gang are put into a ticket or banned at the same time.
  • Gang Strikes can be removed every 30-60 days with good behavior and good roleplay.
  • If a member of a gang leaves, they are put on a 7 day cooldown before they can join any other gang or be involved in any other Gang Beef / Gang War.
  • If a member of a gang gets caught cheating the whole gang will receive 2 strikes and heavily watched

Wars/Beefs

  • Bullet proof cars/bullet resistant cars are not allowed to be part of any shootouts!! No cars with full metal covers on windows are allowed
  • EX: jester with back plate, zentorno
  • Car limit for gang v gang or beefs is 3
  • Car limit for crim v PD is 5
  • Whenever setting terms both gangs must make a ticket to let it be known to staff what war terms are, we will not intervene unless absolutely necessary we just want to have an Idea of what's going on.

War Examples

Wars can be fought in multiple different ways, we have two examples of how it can be done:

War EX 1:

A start date and end date will be determined, we will give each gang a certain amount of pocket flags. Gangs can decide on 48, 72, or 108 pocket flags and both sides will agree on an amount to obtain from the opposing side to dictate a win. Agreements like only being allowed to slide on groups of 3 and up can also be made for this type of war. If a gang involved cannot keep up with the demand they can choose to forfeit a war at a loss.

War EX 2:

Wars can also be fought 5v5 southside with first to 5 wins. Groups will communicate in the server to arrange fights usually happening in the southside but a different location can be determined based on terms. If a group decides they cant fight for whatever reason they can choose to forfeit at a loss.

In war terms gangs can decide on things like no crouch shooting, pistols only, etc. You can be creative with your terms!!! If you want to bend server rules for wars it can be arranged in terms (EX: 8v8 in golf carts)

Not following war terms will result in a forfeit at a loss on the team that broke them

Whenever agreeing on payments in war terms they are nonnegotiable after a war is won/lost. Pay your dues or they will be taken and the winners will be paid accordingly.
